Sausage Bread with Sage

Posted in : Breakfast, Freezer Friendly on by : Pamela Reynoso

I found a sage sausage bread recipe a few weeks ago that looked so good but the ingredients were super hard to find and , in my opinion, had to many steps. So, I came up with this adapted version.  I made these in small disposable tins so I could give them away, but it can be made in a 8 x 8 pan of a meatloaf pan as well.  Cooking times will vary.

1 pound sausage

1 small chopped onion

The mix.

The mix.

2 cups Bisqick

1 egg

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese

bunch of parsley

1/4 cup fresh sage

Cook up the sausage and onion until browned.

While the sausage is cooking mix the rest of the ingredients together.

Once sausage is cooked drain off fat and let cool.

Add to batter mix ; mix well

place in pan and cook for 20 minutes ate 400 degrees , insert a toothpick into the center to check for doneness.( The toothpick should come out clean)
