Jalapeño Sausage and Jack Skewers
I love appetizers. Small bites are my kind of eating. They say ( who they are? I don’t know) that you stop really tasting your food after the first few bites. With appetizers, every bite is the first bite!
This sausage skewer in a tasty and easy appetizer that will make you company say ‘Wow!’,
I used a fully cooked chicken sausage, so all I had to do was brown them in a pan and I was ready to go. I think you could skip this step if you were low on time but, I think the browning adds an extra layer of flavor. Since these are can be served at room temperature of cool, you could even brown them a few days before you need them
What You Need:
1 Package Jalapeño Chicken Sausage ( Makes 10 Skewers)
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
20 Cubes of Jack Cheese
What To Do:
Slice each sausage into 6 pieces. Heat the olive oil in a pad and add the sausage. Cook until golden brown, remove from heat, set aside, and let cool. Once the sausage is cool to the touch, assemble the sausage and cheese on the skewer. Dollop guacamole and sour cream into a small cup. Add the skewer and an olive and enjoy.
