This pasta salad is a real crowd pleaser.  It truly tastes like a cheeseburger!

I really like this pasta because of how easy it is to put  together.  I always try to make parts of this salad ahead of time.  I like to cook the pasta and hamburger the day before.  If I have the time, I also like to chop up the pickles and tomatoes.  I like to add the dressing to the pasta on the day I am going to serve it so that the pasta doesn’t absorb it all.  It doesn’t change the flavor, I just like the way it looks better.

What You Need:

For the Pasta:

1 Lb. Hamburger

1/2 Cup Chopped Onion

2 Garlic Cloves

1 Box Orzo Pasta

1 Cup Sliced Tomatoes

1 Cup Chopped Dill Pickles

2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

For the Dressing:

2 Tablespoons Mayo

2 Tablespoons Ketchup

2 Tablespoons Water

1 teaspoon White Wine Vinegar

Dash Tabasco

What To Do:

For the Dressing:

Mix all the ingredients together and set aside.

For the Pasta:

Bring a pot of water to a boil.  Add a tablespoon of salt to the water and cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain the pasta and place in a bowl.  In a separate pan, add the olive oil, onions, and garlic.  Saute for a few minutes. Add the hamburger meat and cook.  Drain the fat from the meat and add it to the pasta.  Stir in  the dressing.  Carefully add the rest of the ingredients to the pasta and enjoy.
