I wasn’t always a big fan of brussel sprouts. They always seemed to be bitter.  Then I learned the secret!  The smaller the brussel sprout the sweeter they are.  That along with the sweetness of the carrots makes this a great side dish.

What You Need:

1 Cup Brussel Sprouts

1 Cup Chopped Carrots2015-09-18 19.21.02

1 Tablespoon Butter

Salt and Pepper

What To Do:

Bring a pot of water to a boil.  Add a few teaspoons of salt and the Brussel Sprouts and carrots.  Boil for about 7 minutes or until the carrots are tender.  Drain the veggies and return them to the pot.  Add the butter and and sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Stir until the butter is melted and has evenly coated all the vegetables. Serve.
