Thyme and Garlic Stuffed Mushrooms

This is such a quick and fresh way to prepare mushrooms.  Unlike most stuffed mushrooms, these don’t get watery. I think that is because they don’t cook for very long.  The mushrooms still hold there firm shape and texture but don’t have that raw taste that many people dislike.

What You Need:IMG_6886

1 Container Mushrooms

2 Tablespoons Butter

2 Crushed Cloves Garlic

2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme

1/2 a Lemon, Juiced

1/2 Cup Panko Crumbs

What To Do:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  De-stem the mushrooms and place stem side up in an oven proof pan.  Melt the butter in the microwave.  Add the garlic, thyme, and lemon juice to the butter then drizzle over the mushrooms.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Finally, sprinkle the panko crumbs evenly over the mushrooms and push down lightly to make sure that the crumbs get into each mushroom cap.  Bake for 10 minutes uncovered.
