For this steak I cheat a little and use a peppercorn sauce for the market. I have found that it is cheaper and quicker this way. I then add more crushed peppercorns to kick up the flavors. And depending on the brand that I pick up at the store, I might add worcestershire sauce and/or a little sugar.
1 Lb. New York Stip Steak
1/2 Cup Crushed Pepper Corns
2 Cups Peppercorn Sauce ( Store bought)
What To Do:
Place the steaks in a sip lock bag. Add the pepper corns and sauce and let marinade for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Remove steak from bag and place on a nice hot grill. Cook on each side for 3 to 5 minutes or until steak is done to your likeness. Remove steak from heat and cover with tin foil and let rest for at least 10 minutes. In the meantime, place the remaining sauce in the bag into a pan an during to a simmer for about 5 minutes. Plate steaks and spoon remaining sauce over the top.
