Last Weekend I helped my sister throw a baby shower for one of her dear friends.  The theme was bees, as in Mommy to Bee or What Might It Bee. My sister insisted that we us only black, yellow, and white so I was a little nervous but I think it turned our great.

When throwing any type of party I like to try to have a variety of things for my guests to choose from.  For this brunch we did a few breakfast things as well as some lunch items. IMG_2704

I like to add high to the table by using wrapped boxes.  These  boxes were just shipping boxes that I was the party supplies came in. We made blueberry coffee cake in muffin form and a few quiches.

These cute mini muffins are also easy to put together.  Just hash browns, cheese, bacon and eggs.

This one is an oldie but a goodie. We used chicken instead of tuna for these puffs.

These are my version of a Sandwich on a Stick.  They were a snap to put together and inexpensive . I cut the cheese into cubes the day before to it was real just and assembly line process to put them together. For the Lunch meat I did a smoked turkey with Cheddar and Roast Beef with Monterey Jack.

For the drink bar we had make your own mimosa  or bloody mary.  For the juices I choose orange juice, lemonade, and a cranberry mix.  All of them worked nicely with the Champaign as well as the Vodka.  Again this kept the cost down but gave everyone a lot of choices.

My Caprese Stuffed Tomatoes were a hit. I think it is important to have at least on vegetarian choice, especially if you don’t know the group. We ended up with three guests that could not have glutton so these and the sandwich on a stick were a big hit!

Here is another shot of the Sandwiches on a Stick.

With big parties where people are wandering around and snacking I find that I end up neater the food table explaining what everything is.  With these food labels that doesn’t happen as much.  They are easy to put together. I used the same yellow  paper for these as I did to wrap the boxes.
